“Go Fish” in your cupboards or pantry on March 18
and help MSAH feed the hungry in West Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS:   It’s sport show time, which means it’s time to go fishing in your family’s pantry.   Bring six boxes or cans (or 4 pounds minimum) of non-perishable food  items to DeVos Place on Thursday, March 18, and receive a pass for free admission to the Ultimate Sport Show that day only, a $9 value for adults.

Volunteers from area sportsmen’s clubs will collect the food for the Annual Tony Gates/Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger Food Drive and donate it to God’s Kitchen and other West Michigan distribution centers for people in need.

Last year’s drive, spear-headed by the popular WLAV-FM afternoon show host, brought in many tons of food from more than 2,000 show attendees.

Beginning at 6:00 a.m., Gates will broadcast all day from an RV at 303 Monroe Street NW in front of DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids.  Some donors, in a hurry to get to work, drop off sacks of food but don’t have time to accept the free pass to the show.  Others offer cash, which the non-profit MSAH readily accepts.

God’s Kitchen receives no state or federal funding.  It supports the community with contributions only and serves more than 300,000 meals each year to shut-ins, the homeless and low-income families.

The 65th Annual Ultimate Sport Show runs Thursday, March 18 through Sunday, March 21.  For more information, go to www.UltimateSportShow.com or call 800-328-6550.
